Line Auto Width Bug

searching any text/hex string when “Auto Line Width” enabled, the result is shown in the list. But when click over any result it does not go to right position and flipping from one position to another one.

Can you verify which version of 010 Editor you are using and which operating system you are running? We could not replicate this issue for a few simple examples. Does the problem only happen when searching for certain target strings or on certain files? Any steps you can provide to help us replicate this would be useful.

Also, I find another very strange issue with menus as you can see on the video, only one item appear on each menu item when you trying to select.

Thanks for the video. The bug you are seeing is related to how 010 Editor resizes the character area of the hex editor when it encounters extra wide characters. If you switch to a simpler character set like ‘View > Character Set > ASCII+ANSI’ then you won’t see the problem. You can also disable the character set resizing by click ‘Tools > Options’ and then on the Hex Editor page, turn off ‘Automatically Resize Char Area for Wide Characters’. We will get this bug fixed up and let us know if you can wait until the next release to get the update.

For the menu glitch, we have not seen this before and does it happen all the time or just occasionally? Does it go away when you restart your computer? It looks like some strange bug between Qt and your graphics driver. You can try going to ‘Tools > Options’ and on the ‘Theme/Colors’ page click the ‘Options’ button and turn off ‘Rounded Menus’. You may have to restart 010 Editor to see if this fixes the issue.

I can wait, and I just turned off ‘Automatically Resize Char Area for Wide Characters’ and it works.

Regarding the menu issue, its only on that machine and I tried to turned off ‘Rounded Menus’, but still exist. Also, it appears all the time even if I restart the 010 Editor. BTW, its not important for me to fix it, but might be appear on other users. If you want any logs to send it or testing any procedure/instructions its my pleasure.
