Custom Character Sets broken in v15.0

While testing version 15.0 I’ve come across an issue with custom character sets.

When using my CP437 derived custom character set, the ‘Char Area’ looks like it’s inserting a single space between each character when certain byte values are contained in the loaded file.

Here’s an example. The upper half is how it’s supposed to look, the lower is how it looks after entering a ‘bad’ byte value (0x10):

This was never an issue in earlier versions of 010 Editor.

My CP437 (which should be included by default, IMHO) custom character set (save it as a .csv file and import it):

The issue is that when the ‘right arrow’ character is displayed, that character is wider than the other characters. Later versions of 010 Editor automatically expand the right side of the hex editor so that the characters don’t appear jumbled up when wide characters are displayed. You can turn auto-expand off in the Options dialog on the ‘Hex Editor’ page and turn off ‘Automatically Resize Char Area for Wide Characters’. The CP437 character set is included with 010 Editor but it is named ‘ASCII+OEM’. There is an issue with the OEM character set where the first 32 characters are not displaying correctly and we will get that fixed up. Cheers!

Thank you. I did look through the various options before posting, but I evidently overlooked that setting. The ‘jumbling up’ when turned off doesn’t bother me at all.

Regarding the ‘ASCII+OEM’ set, another character not displaying correctly is number 0x7F.

Thanks again for the quick response, it’s much appreciated!
